Spring is finally upon us!


Fresh and colourful recipes is what defines Spring to me!


I live a very active lifestyle and believe that food plays a big part of how we perform in work and training, so I am always looking for new and exciting recipes.

My recommended recipes below are simple and super delicious 😊

I believe you are what you eat but that moderation is key. As an athlete, a mother and a brain cancer survivor I have been given a second chance in life and how I choose to live it. Living a more holistic life is one that I have chosen for myself and my family. Enjoy these recipes and Happy Spring ladies!


Berry Smoothie

This is my go to post-training and my 2 year old son LOVES it too!

Put all the below ingredients in your blender and blend until smooth

Frozen blueberries / mixed berries

Almond milk

Peanut butter


Probiotic powder

Whole almonds

Maca powder


MCT oil

Scoop of Green Vibrance


Cleansing Salad

  • Instagram


  • 1tbsp olive oil

  • ½ juice of lemon

  • 2tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • 1tsp tahini

  • 1tsp honey

  • Salt & Pepper

This is one of my all-time favourite salads (@JessicaSepel recipe book) that can go with all meals but best enjoyed with your choice of protein on the braai.


  • Baby spinach

  • Cucumber

  • Red cabbage

  • Raw almonds

  •  Carrot

  • Fresh basil

  • Fresh mint leaves

  • Raw broccoli

  • Avocado

*all ingredients to be chopped*


Mexican Bowl

Easiest meal found on @RoseyLomabard and @nutrionalsolutionssa. This bowl is packed with all the goodness you will need. This is a meal that the whole family will enjoy, even the smallest ones in your family.

Main layer:

  • Lean mince

  • Onion

  • Red pepper

  • Mushrooms

  • Grated carrots

  • 1 tin lentils

  • 1 tin kidney beans

  • 1 tin bakes beans

  • 1 tin tomato & onion mix

  • Baby spinach

  • Tomato paste

Bottom salad layer:

  • Coleslaw mix

  • Baby spinach

  • Cherry tomatoes

  • Cucumber

  • Chopped raw cauliflower


  • Guacamole

  • Hummus
