As the winter chill has fast approached, serving up healthy, soul-warming food can be challenging. I am a firm believer in that “we eat with our eyes first”, so presentation is as important to me as flavour. In keeping with my food philosophy,of creating an experience at mealtimes and adding a healthy twist, I would like to share my Greek-inspired Chicken Gyros. This is a classic sandwich with grilled chicken wrapped in a soft flatbread – a definite level-up from the average sandwich or wrap and guaranteed to be a showstopper on your dinner table. The impressive array of spices infusing the creamy yoghurt marinade, delivers on the promise of gorgeous looking, succulent chicken serving that bursts with flavour . Let’s get cooking.


SOME TIPS ALONG THE WAY

  • Marinate chicken the night before

  • Make a bigger quantity of flatbreads and freeze them

  • To add another layer of flavour, brush your flatbreads with garlic butter and lemon zest once cooked

  • Soak your skewers in water for 30 minutes before use
