STEP BY STEP WATERCOLOURS

Gerda Smit from O'Griet Art

For this issue, we thought we'd change things up a bit and give you a creative challenge to try...

We've asked Gerda from O'Griet to share a step by step, easy to follow watercolour project. Simply follow the instructions we've outlined below and see how you get on.

  • Watercolour paints (either tray or tubes)

  • Variation of paint brushes (round and flat brushes of varied thicknesses)

  • Plastic palette or white ceramic plate to mix colours (ceramic is easy to clean)

  • Medium - canvas or art paper

  • Pencil

  • Glass of water (don't let it get too dirty otherwise it'll make your brushes dirty)

  • Paper towel or tissue

For more projects for kids or to join one of O'Griet's WhatsApp or physical workshops - have a squizz via one of their social channels or visit their website
